My Background

How We Got Here

Back in 2015, I graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a degree in Special Education (Learning & Behavior Specialist 1). I dove into the classroom and quickly realized that, even with my diverse & extensive classroom experience during formal placements in college, I was way in over my head. Since then, I have learned, grown, and also completed my master's degree in Special Education Leadership. I have experience teaching in a range of classrooms, anywhere between kindergarten and high school. I currently am the classroom teacher and case manager at an elementary district in the Chicagoland suburbs. I am specifically passionate about social-emotional learning, life skills, and ultimately preparing my students to be as successful as possible when they graduate.
